Dustin Hoffman had cancer -- emphasis on had.
"It was detected early and he has been surgically cured," the actor's rep revealed to People. "Dustin is feeling great and is in good health."
Hoffman, 75, certainly didn't let the diagnosis slow him down. He wrapped Jon Favreau's "Chef" last month, and he'll film the Roald Dahl adaptation "Esio Trot" in the fall and "Boys Choir" sometime this winter. He worked on his directorial debut, "Quartet," throughout 2012.
With "Quartet," which follows four elderly opera singers, Hoffman attempted to capture the emotional process of aging. "If we can put on the screen those feelings we have, the ups the downs, that's what I'm looking for," he explained to NPR earlier this year.
