Nestled among the many A-list stars of Woody Allen's "Blue Jasmine" -- a high-profile lineup that includes Cate Blanchett, Peter Sarsgaard, Andrew Dice Clay, Bobby Cannavale, Louis CK, and Alec Baldwin -- is one familiar face from the realm of reality TV.
"The Bachelorette" Season 6 star Ali Fedotowsky, who took the helm of the ABC reality hit in 2010 after striking out on Jake Pavelka's season of "The Bachelor," appears for 30 seconds in "Blue Jasmine" as a personal trainer for Blanchett's and Baldwin's characters.
"[Fedotowsky] fit Woody's vision of the character both physically and personality-wise," Allen casting director Patricia DiCerto explains to the Los Angeles Times. "I knew he would think she was perfect for the role."
"Blue Jasmine" centers on Blanchett's Jasmine French, a former New York socialite who suffers a breakdown after her marriage to a Bernie Madoff type (Baldwin) falls apart.
Fedotowsky, who tells the L.A. Times she kept her "Bachelorette" past hush-hush on set, sees the experience as an amazing one-off. "I don't think I'm going to be winning an Oscar anytime soon," she says, laughing. "It's still mind-boggling to me -- I feel like I'm lying when I tell people that I have a cameo in a Woody Allen film."
When not popping up in random big-screen dramas, Fedotowsky can be seen filling in for Giuliana Rancic on E! News and hosting the NBC travel show "1st Look."
"Blue Jasmine" arrives in theaters tomorrow.
