Once a mobster, always a mobster.

In "The Family" ("Malavita" overseas), Fred Manzoni (Robert De Niro) is in witness protection in France, but the former mafia man doesn't settle scores with a bottle of wine and a wedge of Brie.

As a new international teaser trailer shows, Fred, wife Maggie (Michelle Pfeiffer), and their two kids (Dianna Agron and John D'Leo) all like to handle matters the old-school way: by blowing things up and smacking people around. Oh, and smashing their faces into a hot charcoal grill.

Poor Tommy Lee Jones has to try to keep the mob family from attracting too much attention -- or else their enemies will find and destroy them.

"You're insane," a weary-looking Jones tells De Niro.

"I know," a devil-may-care De Niro replies.

The dark comedy, from director Luc Besson, hits theaters September 13.
