Turns out, Comic-Con can still keep secret.
Much to the delight of fans and reporters (hey, we're fans, too), the entire cast of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" was flown in for a surprise press conference and Hall H presentation today. And when we say the entire cast, we mean EVERYONE. OK, well not everyone. That would be ridiculous. But it's a lot of people.
So who was there? Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage, James McAvoy, Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, Evan Peters, Halle Berry, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, Omar Sy (Bishop?!), and director Bryan Singer. And these were just the names at the press conference.
The press conference revealed some pretty important details of the movie. The most revelatory was Bryan Singer's confirmation that, yes, some entire plotlines and story elements that appeared in the previous films have been wiped clean, or, in the case of a film about time travel, altered.
That's what happens when you get to relive the past. Things like Professor Xavier being vaporized in "X-Men 3" can disappear from the mythos completely.
