In his first public appearance since the news broke of his friend's death, Criss wore a small black ribbon on the lapel of his suit in memory of Monteith. The 26-year-old actor/singer did not comment on the gesture at the event in New York, but in this case, actions spoke louder than words. Criss was also set to appear on "Good Morning America" today (July 16), but canceled. His "Girl" co-star Matt Dillon appeared in his place.
Criss stars alongside Kristen Wiig, Dillon, and Annette Bening in the comedy about Imogene (Wiig), a failed playwright who fakes a suicide attempt to win back the attention of her ex-boyfriend and is forced to move back home to New Jersey with her eccentric mother (Bening).
