Not one to let Instagram have all the fun, video app Vine got in on the movie action this week, with director Jon Favreau using the social media outlet to announce new additions to the cast of his movie "Chef."

Dustin Hoffman is joining the film in an unspecified role, and the video also includes a shot of Bobby Cannavale, another recent addition to the comedy. A big-name star in his own right, Hoffman joins an already-impressive group of actors including Robert Downey Jr., Sofia Vergara, Scarlett Johansson, and John Leguizamo.

Favreau plays the titular chef, who loses his prestigious job. In an attempt to revamp his reputation, he decides to go into the food truck business, while also trying to make amends with his estranged family.

"Chef" is due in theaters May 9, 2014.
