George Clooney is back to bachelorhood, with People reporting that he and girlfriend Stacy Keibler have parted ways after dating for two years.
Last photographed together in March, Clooney, 52, and Keibler, 33, grew apart in recent months, apparently as a result of their hectic schedules -- and their differing views on having kids.
"Stacy called it quits," an insider spills to People. "She wants to have children and a family someday. She knows where George stands on that. They talked and they quietly stopped being a couple several weeks ago."
Despite their disagreement, it was an amicable split, adds People. "They talk every day," the source reveals. "They were friends before they started dating and they'll be friends after."
The breakup speculation gained momentum when the two were spotted thousands of miles apart on the Fourth of July: Clooney spent the holiday at his Italian villa, and Keibler partied with pals in L.A.
Before Keibler, Clooney romanced Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis. While it remains to be seen which leggy beauty is up next for the silver fox, he has two movies in the pipeline: "Monuments Men," out this holiday season, and "Tomorrowland," slated for a December 2014 release.
