San Diego Comic-Con is coming, and naturally the film lineup is a doozy. The days of "Twilight" fans clogging Hall H have gone the way of the dodo, but there's still plenty for genre fans to chew on.
Some of the hottest panel tickets in town are for "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," "Divergent," "Ender's Game," the "Veronica Mars" movie, and "Mortal Instruments: City of Bones." Horror fans will want to check out the screening and Q&A for "You're Next," a bloody good time from Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett.
These panels will be showing off fresh footage and appearances from their stars and directors, though there's still some question as to who's signed on. Right now, Lionsgate has only announced that assorted talent from "The Hunger Games" will be appearing, so it's not clear if America's BFF Jennifer Lawrence will show up to charm us all or not.
In any case, there will still be plenty of folks around to chat up their movies. "Divergent" director Neil Burger and stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Miles Teller, and others will be on hand to present the first look at their highly anticipated film. "Ender's Game" stars Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield, Abigail Breslin, and Hailee Steinfeld will also be there, along with director Gavin Hood, to debut new footage from their sci-fi flick.
The "Veronica Mars" panel will feature a whole slew of folks from your favorite crowdfunded TV show adaptation, such as Kristen Bell, Krysten Ritter, show creator Rob Thomas, and plenty of others.
Last but not least, the cast and crew of "Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" will be putting in an appearance, with author Cassandra Clare on hand to chat with director Harald Zwart and stars Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Kevin Zegers, and Robert Sheehan. Watch Collins introduce a "Mortal Instruments" sneak peek below.
There will also be tons of panels on comic books, TV shows, video games, and other media as well, in addition to all the goodies you can buy and get signed on the convention floor.
San Diego Comic-Con will take place from July 17 through July 21. Stay tuned for coverage, and may the Hall H odds ever be in your favor.
