Summer is the perfect time for escape, and in "The Way, Way Back" 14-year-old Duncan (Liam James) finds solace in a new family at the Water Wizz water park.

In the coming-of-age indie comedy, written and directed by Nat Faxon and Jim Rash (the co-writers behind Alexander Payne's "The Descendants"), the shy Duncan befriends water park manager Owen (Sam Rockwell) over the course of one unforgettable summer. The film also stars Toni Colette, Steve Carell, Allison Janney, Maya Rudolph, and Rob Corddry.

In this exclusive new clip, Owen introduces Duncan to Lewis (Rash) and snags a bite of his lunch. Lewis, who rents out swimming gear while dreaming of chasing other things (literally), gives Duncan a handy swimming tip -- take note, guys.

"The Way, Way Back" splashes into theaters just in time to cool you off on July 5.
