In this adaptation of "The Grandmothers" by Doris Lessing, Robin Wright and Naomi Watts star as lifelong best friends, Roz and Lil. This inseparable pair even lives next door to each other in a tiny seaside town in Australia, and their sons, Tom and Ian, are best friends. Roz and Lil are like second mothers to Ian and Tom... Or are they?

As this trailer shows, things get super steamy all of a sudden when Ian (Xavier Samuel of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" and "The Loved Ones") begins pursuing Roz. Why? We don't know. Maybe just because everyone runs around barefoot in their swimsuits in this place, and it's always sunny and lovely. In any case, Tom (James Frecheville of "Animal Kingdom" and the upcoming "Animal Rescue") decides that turnabout is fair play when it comes to mother-lovin'. Growing up is hard to do, though, so you know things won't remain all fun sparkly beach time forever, right?

Director Anne Fontaine's credits include "Coco Before Chanel," "The Girl From Monaco," and "How I Killed My Father." Christopher Hampton, who won an Oscar for his delicious adaptation of "Dangerous Liaisons," adapted Lessing's story for the big screen.

"Adore" will hit the big screen and your favorite on-demand movie delivery system September 6.
