On the interview circuit to promote his upcoming action-packed film "The Lone Ranger," star Armie Hammer opened way up -- some might say too much -- during a recent sit-down with Playboy.

Among several sexy reveals for a "20 Questions" feature for the magazine's July/August 2013 issue, the 26-year-old actor, who tied the knot with wife Elizabeth Chambers in 2010, spilled on the evolution of his style in the sack.

"I used to like to be a dominant lover," he confessed. "I liked the grabbing of the neck and the hair and all that. But then you get married and your sexual appetites change. And I mean that for the better -- it's not like I'm suffering in any way. But you can't really pull your wife's hair. It gets to a point where you say, 'I respect you too much to do these things that I kind of want to do.'"

He also revealed that their first date included a stop at a XXX store, and that Chambers likes -- like, really likes -- the "Lone Ranger" mask he swiped from set.

With his overshares plastered across the Internet, Hammer has attributed his candor to having had one too many. "Let's just say hindsight is 20/20. Don't drink during an interview," he told E! News during an appearance at The Bishops Lodge resort in Santa Fe, N.M., on June 20.

If that was indeed the case, we have to assume alcohol was also to blame for his reveal to ELLE that an ex-girlfriend once tried to stab him while they were getting busy. "One chick tried to stab me when we were having sex. I should so not be telling this story," he said, without checking himself. "She was like, 'True love leaves scars. You don't have any.' And then she tried to stab me with a butcher knife. Of course I promptly broke up with her ... seven months later."

Galloping into theaters July 3, "The Lone Ranger" promises to be much tamer than Hammer's sex life.
