The sun will not be coming out tomorrow for Sandra Bullock.
Amid speculation that the Oscar winner would play the cruel Miss Hannigan in the upcoming film remake of "Annie," The Hollywood Reporter reveals the deal has fallen through.
Talks between Bullock and Sony "never progressed beyond an embryonic stage," the site notes.
The highly anticipated musical is being produced by Will Smith and Jay-Z and will star 9-year-old Oscar nominee Quvenzhane Wallis as Annie. Jamie Foxx is set to play a Daddy Warbucks-like character named Benjamin Stacks, who is a mayor hopeful.
Now that Bullock is off the "Annie" train, who will climb on board as Miss Hannigan? Perhaps the producers should consider a well-known actress who just finished a well-received turn as the character on Broadway? Dialing Jane Lynch!
