According to The Hollywood Reporter, Carey Mulligan is now the producers' top choice and will soon meet with the biopic's director James Ponsoldt ("The Spectacular Now"). While it has been said that both sides are eager for the collaboration, a definite decision has yet to be made.
The biopic will chart the early years of Rodham's career when she worked as a lawyer involved in President Nixon's impeachment, her time as a New York senator, the history of her relationship with Bill Clinton, and her role as Secretary of State. The script was written by Young Il Kim and as of now is slated for a November 2016 release, just in time for election day.
According to an early draft of the script, the film will include a rather aggressive sex scene between Mr. and Mrs. Clinton. Will we see the "Shame" actress take her clothes off yet again? We'll just have to wait till the final vote comes in.
