The team behind "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz" is bringing us their latest horror-comedy flick, "The World's End." Five childhood friends reunite after 20 years to finish an epic pub crawl in their hometown. But soon, they realize, "It's not us that changed. It's the town!" -- which has been taken over by killer robots.
Can the friends finish their bar crawl and save the world at the same time?
As a new American trailer shows, Edgar Wright and star Simon Pegg once again make very funny and very entertaining magic together. The dialogue is as sharp and witty as their previous collaborations.
"A) we're all drunk, b) we've got blood on our hands," Pegg says of the friends escaping back to London.
"It's more like ink," amends Eddie Marsan.
"We've got ink on our hands!"
"The World's End" also stars Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman, Nick Frost, and Rosamund Pike, and takes over theaters August 23.
