This Friday's "Iron Man 3" is the fourth time we've seen Robert Downey, Jr. inhabit both the smug persona of techno-industrialist Tony Stark, as well as the more somber armor of world-protecting superhero Iron Man (three "Iron Man" movies, one "Avengers" movie). In a recent GQ profile of RDJ, it was revealed that Marvel was so dead-set against him that they sent original "Iron Man" director Jon Favreau a note that said: "Under no circumstances are we prepared to hire him for any price." Now "Iron Man" (and Marvel in general) is unthinkable without him.

As a celebration of Robert Downey Jr.'s perfectly calibrated performance and in honor of "Iron Man 3," which may have the largest collection of off-the-cuff zingers in the entire franchise, we thought we would rundown five of the very best Tony Stark-isms of the series.
