The Julian Fellowes-penned script sticks closely to the classic -- no gunfights and drugs a la the 1996 adaptation starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. The title roles are played by Douglas Booth ("Great Expectations") and Hailee Steinfeld ("True Grit").
A new trailer features "Gossip Girl" star Ed Westwick as the hot-headed Tybalt of the Capulet family, who taunts Romeo, "Come settle with me, boy!" (Actually feels like something Chuck Bass might've said on "Gossip Girl.")
He's joined by big names including Damian Lewis as Lord Capulet, Paul Giamatti as Friar Laurence, and Stellan Skarsgard as the Prince of Verona.
It's been quite a while since there was a big, classic adaptation of "Romeo and Juliet." But unlike Franco Zeffirelli's 1968 version, this one won't feature any nudity due to Steinfeld's youth (she was just 14 when it was filmed).
The new "Romeo and Juliet" hits U.K. theaters on Oct. 25, but has yet to get an American release date.
