Craig, Tracy, and Derek stumble onto a secret lab that begins an experiment that should have stayed buried forever. Now they are fighting for their lives in this epic sci-fi thriller from Director Gregory Orr. The film stars Stella Maeve (Golden Boy, Gossip Girl, The Runaways), Alexander Nifong (Glee, Pretty Little Liars), J. Mallory McCree (We Need to Talk About Kevin), Laura Moss (Death of a Salesman) and John de Lancie (TV's StarTrek as Q).
Shot in the postcard perfect Adirondack Mountains of New York, CLONED: The Recreator Chronicles is the first installment in a thrilling saga. The concept for the movie came from Orr's fascination with clones, and the idea behind human recreation.
The subject of so many movies, clones have long held audiences captivated with their cunning ability to look and act exactly like their counterparts. We all watched in fascination as the scientific world announced that they had cloned Dolly the sheep. Rather than using an embryo, as had been performed on numerous plants and animals before, Dolly was cloned via an adult cell, as the first mammal in history.
While centering around the common theme of recreation, CLONED asks many moral and ethical questions revolving around the cloning process, and even has viewers questioning their own decisions with a shocking surprise twist at the movie's close. As Alexander Nifong's character Craig makes a surprising decision, it begs the audience to ask themselves, "What would you do?"
Heart-pounding chases, murders in the woods, and a deadly experiment that spins out of control all add up to make this movie a must see this summer.
CLONED: The Recreator Chronicles will be released nationwide on April 23, 2013, available via Redbox, Amazon, and Netflix.
