Lindsay Lohan will be Charlie Sheen's date at tomorrow night's Los Angeles premiere of their movie, "Scary Movie 5." According to the New York Post, the two stars will walk the red carpet together for what's likely to be her last public appearance before entering court-mandated rehab.
"Imagine your date for the evening being Charlie Sheen just a few days you are meant to report for rehab," a source said.
Of course, Sheen himself has been rehab on several occasions -- three times in a 12-month period, in fact. The last stint, done at home, took place just a few months before an epic meltdown that resulted in Sheen getting fired from the hit CBS comedy "Two and a Half Men."
Lohan's upcoming rehab treatment comes at the order of a judge for reckless driving and lying to a police officer. On "The Late Show" last night, she told David Letterman that rehab was "a blessing."
"I think, to be honest, I'm the happiest when I'm working and the healthiest, and I think this an opportunity for me to, you know, focus on what I love in life," she said.
Lohan and Sheen, who shared a bedroom scene in "Scary Movie 5," became friends over the course of the project. He even lent her $100,000 so that she could pay off a tax debt.
"I have a kinship with somebody who clearly needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not," he told TMZ. "She can continue to hang out with her dress shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey."
As for their premiere date, don't expect any romantic sparks between the two. "I love her, I respect her, and I've never laid a finger on her that wasn't on film," Sheen insisted. "How ya like me now, America"
