Fans of "G.I. Joe" are eagerly awaiting the release of this weekend's "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" which looks be a more faithful adaptation than the previous film installment, and relishes in the infinite ninja battles that have been entertaining audiences through decades of toys, comics, and cartoons. If you need more proof that "Retaliation" gets it right, look to the actors involved; casting larger-than-life action heroes like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Bruce Willis reminds us of those Saturday morning adventures where the Joes recruited Sgt. Slaughter and William "The Refrigerator" Perry (and even came close to nabbing Rocky too!) It's a shame that the Joes didn't team-up with even more icons of the '80s... until now.
Moviefone has teamed up with our favorite artist Dennis Culver to imagine an all-star roster of the '80s biggest figures -- from the Goonies to "Rebel Yell" rockers, with a pit stop at Melmac on the way -- suited up for the war against Cobra. If you thought you knew everything about Rainbow Brite and the Care Bears, these declassified file cards will prove that you didn't know anything (and knowing is half the battle). Check out the gallery below to learn all about the forgotten Joes of the 1980s!
