If you haven’t been paying attention to “Machete Kills,” Robert Rodriguez’s forthcoming, blood-soaked sequel to his low-budget 2010 “Grindhouse” spin-off “Machete Kills,” well, here’s your chance.

Entertainment Weekly has just debuted a brand-new, eye-popping poster (scroll down) for the new movie, out this September, which features Sofia Vergara packing some serious heat.

The poster showcases Vergara’s, er, ample assets, this time enhanced by what appears to be a machine gun bra (somehow this was left out of the most recent Victoria’s Secret catalog). She plays a character named Lady Desdemona, who Entertainment Weekly describes as a “femme fatale.” Are there any other kinds of ladies in these movies?

In the sequel, Mexican hitman / vigilante / freedom fighter Machete (Danny Trejo), is hired by the slimy President of the United States (Charlie Sheen, of course) to take down an arms dealer who wants to launch deadly rockets into orbit (the third film in the proposed trilogy takes place in space; we couldn’t make this up if we tried). The cast also includes Mel Gibson, Vanessa Hudgens, Michelle Rodriguez, Lady Gaga, and Amber Heard. Yes, those people are actually in the movie.

While some might get riled up about this poster’s provocative use of gun imagery, especially in our increasingly sensitive political climate, most people will get riled up because of something else entirely… Ahem…
