Since its release, Kathryn Bigelow's film, "Zero Dark Thirty" has been under extreme political scrutiny.
The movie, written by Mark Boal ("The Hurt Locker"), chronicles the decade-long manhunt for Osama bin Laden. Sensitive subject matter aside, the Oscar nominated film has also received wide acclaim, with the drama topped Moviefone's Best Movies of 2012 list: "'ZDT' hits all the familiar post-September 11 plot-lines, while adding also enough twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat for the film’s entire 157-minute runtime. Sony billed “Zero Dark Thirty” as the “Greatest Manhunt in History.” Bravo, for managing living up to that title."
Besides its stellar cast -- which includes Jessica Chastain as its leading lady, CIA agent Maya -- the main reason the film has achieved such success has come down to one thing: accuracy.
In a new behind-the-scenes feature (which we are debuting with our sister site, Huffington Post Entertainment), Bigelow and Boal talk about how veracity was of paramount importance. Extreme precision went into every element of the film -- right down to the sets.
