Moviefone's New Release Pick of the Week "The Dark Knight Rises" What's It About? Batman vs. Bane See it Because: Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale deliver an epic end to their gritty, realistic interpretation of the Dark Knight. Rather than attempt to top Heath Ledger's Joker, they smartly tell a broader, globe-spanning story that brings it all back to "Batman Begins." The action is sprawling, the villains are menacing, the cast is awesome and once the dust settles in a few years, we'll be looking at Nolan's "Batman" trilogy as an amazing piece of American crime cinema. (Not to mention, Anne Hathaway delivers a surprisingly fun performance as Catwoman that gets the character out of the shadow of Michelle Pfeiffer.) (Also Available on Amazon Instant Video | Netflix)

Moviefone's Blu-ray Pick of the Week "Finding Nemo 3D" Ultimate Collector's Edition What's It About? Pixar's modern classic about a father and son clownfish who get separated from each other and then travel the seas to find each other, gets a digital 3D upgrade. (Because a sweet and funny adventure about cartoon fish wasn't fun enough already.) See it Because: Think of those beautiful tropical water colors on your hi-def screen.

New on DVD & Blu-ray "Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry" What's It About? This documentary examines Weiwei, the "Beijing Andy Warhol," and his ongoing efforts to use political art and digital media to bring attention to the oppression suffered under the Chinese government, even as he is subject to surveillance, harassment and even violence at the hands of authorities. See it or Skip It: See it. (Also Available on Netflix)

"Beasts of the Southern Wild" What's It About? Pint-sized Quevenzhane Wallis stars as Hushpuppy, a young girl living with her father in an impoverished Delta community. When her father's health begins to fail, Hushpuppy's world goes out of whack. Great floods and the appearance of mythical beasts known as aurochs take over her community, as she must learn how to survive without her father. It's a family drama with elements of "The Tree of Life" and "Where the Wild Things Are," filled with imagery that invokes the rebuilding of post-Katrina New Orleans. See it or Skip It: See it.

"Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn" What's It About? We may never get a "Halo" movie, so this web series-turned DVD set inside the "Halo" universe is the next best thing. See it or Skip It: For hardcore fans. (Also Available on Amazon Instant Video | Netflix| Redbox)

"Hope Springs" What's It About? Tommy Lee Jones and Meryl Streep star as a middle-aged couple that attend a couple's retreat run by a therapist (played by Steve Carrell). It may seem gentle and boring and "for old people," but with acting talent like that, it can't not be good. See it or Skip It: See it. (Also Available on Amazon Instant Video | Netflix | Redbox Blu-ray & DVD)

"The Odd Life of Timothy Green" What's It About? Disney's fantasy-family drama about a magic kid is really only notable for that viral video where the kids cried at the movie's ending. See it or Skip It: Skip it. (Also Available on Amazon Instant Video | Netflix)

"Silent Night" What's It About? The hilariously bad '80s Santa slasher flick "Silent Night, Deadly Night" gets a grim modern remake that has the stupid audacity to play it seriously. See it or Skip It: Skip it. (Also Available on Netflix)

"Thunderstruck" What's It About? Kevin Durant plays himself in a "Freaky Friday"-style story where his basketball skills are magically switched with a dopey teenage klutz. See it or Skip It: At least Durant is a better actor than Dennis Rodman.

"V/H/S" What's It About? A group of indie directors get together to tell a found-footage anthology movie (think "Blair Witch" meets "Creepshow") involving mysterious VHS tapes and the disturbing content found on them. It's relentless, innovative and probably the scariest movie of the year. See it or Skip It: See it. (Also Available on Amazon Instant Video | Netflix)
