The gang's all here, too: John Paul Tremblay, Robb Wells and Mike Smith will be reprising their trademark roles (as Julian, Ricky and Bubbles, respectively) when the boys return to the trailer park. Canadian director Mike Clattenburg, who was behind the camera for all other "Trailer Park Boys" iterations, is also getting back in the saddle.
"We are all extremely pleased to be working together again on another 'Trailer Park Boys' film," says producer Barrie Dunn. "Although it's been four years since our last film, Ricky, Julian and Bubbles are as popular as ever, even expanding internationally, and we're delighted to bring them back to the big screen."
"We've had incredible support from fans worldwide," agrees Wells. "I love playing Ricky and we're all excited to play the 'Trailer Park Boys' again on screen with the amazing cast and crew."
Originally slated to start production this month, it has now been pushed until spring 2013.
"Trailer Park Boys" was a mockumentary-style TV show, which ran for seven seasons (2001-2008) and produced two TV specials. Aside from Canada, the show can be seen in over 15 countries. Ricky, Julian and Bubbles' first full-length film "Trailer Park Boys: The Movie" hit theatres in 2007 and the follow-up, "Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day" served as a finale to the series in 2009.
