This weekend, countless fans descended upon the Big Apple for New York Comic-Con. (It's very similar to its west coast counterpart, the San Diego International Comic-Con, save for a 1000% increase in Sbarro locations.)
Legions of geeks showed up for the latest news in the worlds of comic books, video games, TV and movies -- and the hardcore devoted braved the cold weather to maintain a glorious Comic-Con tradition: costumes!
Whether its superheroes or Star Wars, Disney or Super Mario, we've rounded up some of the coolest, most creative and ridiculously elaborate costume sightings from this year's NY Comic-Con.
