CATEGORIES Movie NewsMoviefone's Pick of the Week "The Five-Year Engagement" What's It About? Jason Segel and Emily Blunt play a happily devoted couple whose impending nuptials keep getting delayed by her rising career. See It Because: Segel re-teams with his "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" co-writer and director for another romantic comedy that's very R-rated. It's a little too long, but with a supporting cast including players from "The Office," "Parks & Rec," "30 Rock" and "Community," it's pretty much an all-star team of funny people. New on DVD & Blu-ray "High School" What's It About? An MIT-bound star scholar tries weed for the first time, the night before his psycho principal (Michael Chiklis) imposes a school-wide drug test. In order to get away with his crime, he concocts a ridiculous plan to get the entire school stoned -- with the help of even more psycho dealer (Adrien Brody). In the end, an interesting cast and a ridiculous-in-a-good-way premise get wasted on the easiest, lamest, most tired jokes. See It or Skip It: Skip it. (Also Available on Redbox)
"Piranha 3DD" What's It About? It's intentionally dumb horror garbage with over-the-top nudity and gore, only without the added spectacle of a theatrical 3D experience. See It or Skip It: Skip it. (Also Available on Amazon Instant Video)
"Safe" What's It About? Jason Statham Jason Stathams his way through a very Jason Statham-y movie. See It or Skip It: Jason Statham (Also Available on Redbox DVD & Blu-ray | Amazon Instant Video)
"Touchback" What's It About? This pigskin take on "It's a Wonderful Life" -- about a down-on-his-luck farmer who goes back in time to reattempt football glory that slipped through his fingers -- is too syrupy-sweet and painfully corny. See It or Skip It: Skip it.
"Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day" What's It About? Blair Underwood headlines a faith-based movie about a beautiful couple "who thought they had it all," until their daughter is kidnapped by a suspected child murderer; revelations about their past lives come to light and the whole thing gets over-the-top corny in terms of suspense, dialogue and character motivation. See It or Skip It: Skip it. (Also Available on Redbox )
