Fall is here and love is in the air -- or at the very least, in the cinema. This season, tales of heartbreak and romance will be making their way to the theater. From coming-of-age tales like "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" to period pieces like "Anna Karenina," these next few months have something in store from moviegoers interested in the more emotional side of film.
You can take a look at all the upcoming romantic films in the slideshow below. Keep an eye out all this week for Moviefone's 2012 Fall Preview.
EARLIER: The Must-See Drama Movies This Fall

'Bachelorette'
Release Date: 9/7
Who's In It? Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher, Lizzy Caplan, James Marsden, Adam Scott, Rebel Wilson
What's It About? Three bridesmaids go searching for fun the night before their friend gets married. Unfortunately, things get out of hand -- fast.
Why We're Excited: This film is chock full of boozy pre-wedding shenanigans (think "The Hangover," but with girls instead of guys). Though "Bachelorette" can be considered more comedy than romance, the movie ends up having some tender moments as well.
'Ten Years'
Release Date: 9/14
Who's In It? Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Chris Pratt, Rosario Dawson, Justin Long, Oscar Isaac, Kate Mara
What's It About?
A group of friends reunite at their ten-year high-school reunion and discover that (surprise) they still have a lot of growing up to do.
Why We're Excited: It's like a sweeter, less raunchy version of "American Pie." Also, the movie stars real-life married couple Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum. (Cue the "Awwwws.")
'Liberal Arts'
Release Date: 9/14
Who's In It? Josh Radnor, Elizabeth Olsen, Zac Efron, Richard Jenkins
What's It About? The story of a newly-single 35-year-old who returns to speak at his college and ends up falling for a classical music-loving sophomore.
Why We're Excited: Oscar nominee Elizabeth Olsen and "How I Met Your Mother" Josh Radnor make a formidable couple in this cute back-to-school romance.
'The Perks Of Being A Wallflower'
Release Date: 9/21
Who's In It? Emma Watson, Logan LerĀman, Ezra Miller
What's It About? A high school freshman finds friends and falls in love, all while dealing with a terrible past.
Why We're Excited: This coming-of-age ode to high school is filled with touching moments of friendship and romance, and does something many films fail to do: successfully captures the emotions of young teens. Also, look out for Emma Watson in her first big role post-"Potter."
'The Big Wedding'
Release Date: 10/26
Who's In It? Amanda Seyfried, Robert De Niro, Katherine Heigl, Robin Williams, Topher Grace, Susan Sarandon
What's It About A divorced couple are forced to pretend like they're together, when their adopted son marries the daughter of an ultraconservative.
Why We're Excited: Robert De Niro is more than likely going to mail it in, but we can't say no to a cast that includes Diane Keaton, Robin Williams and Susan Sarandon.
'Jack and Diane'
Release Date: 11/2
Who's In It? Juno Temple, Riley Keough, Kylie Minogue
What's It About? Two teenage girls develop a romance after meeting one night in New York City. However, things take a strange turn when Diane's emotions start causing unexplainable violent changes to her body.
Why We're Excited: This so-called lesbian-werewolf movie isn't exactly what you're expecting. Instead of a horror film with bits of romance, you get a deep and passionate love story, one that features elements of the horror genre.
'Vamps'
Release Date: 11/2
Who's In It? Alicia Silverstone, Krysten Ritter, Sigourney Weaver, Kristen Johnston
What's It About? Two vampires who love clubbing and going out try to keep their true identities a secret. However, things start to change when one of them falls for the son of a vampire hunter.
Why We're Excited: Far from your typical romance, this movie rips out the typical vampire stereotyps and replaces them with something sweeter. Also, star Alicia Silverstone re-teams with "Clueless" director Amy Heckerling!
'Anna Karenina'
Release Date: 11/16
Who's In It? Keira Knightley, Jude Law, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kelly Macdonald
What's It About? Based on the famed Tolstoy novel, the film follows Anna, who questions her happiness and marriage while dealing with significant change.
Why We're Excited: Sure, Keira Knightley doing the period piece thing is starting to get old, but this visually stunning adaptation presents a new take on a literary classic.
'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2'
Release Date: 11/16
Who's In It? Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene
What's It About? The final chapter in the "Twilight" saga focuses on the Cullen family, as Bella and Edward look to protect their newborn daughter from a powerful vampire coven.
Why We're Excited: Awkward celebrity scandals aside, this is the culmination of a worldwide phenomenon, one fans have been waiting on for years.
