Therefore, Warner Bros. has officially pulled the trailer for the Ryan Gosling-led "Gangster Squad," which featured a grimly-apt scene. In the clip, four men, dressed in trenchcoats, emerge from behind a movie screen, firing into the theater.
Not only will the trailer not be leading "The Dark Knight Rises," the video was pulled from virtually all online outlets. The video was removed by Apple as well, and it can no longer be accessed on YouTube.
Additionally, AMC theaters have banned any costumed moviegoers from attending screenings. Reported by Deadline.com, the movie house prohibits patrons "in costumes that make other guests feel uncomfortable and we will not permit face-covering masks or fake weapons inside our buildings."
While screenings for TDKR will continue as scheduled, AMC is committed to bulking up on security measures.
"We're reinforcing our security procedures with our theatre teams, which we cannot discuss in detail for obvious, safety reasons. Local law enforcement agencies, our landlords and their and our local security teams are stepping up nationwide to ensure we provide the safest environment possible for our guests. We couldn't be more grateful for their collective support."
