It was recently revealed their daughter Suri may also be converting to Catholicism, the religion Katie was raised with.
While details of the power couple's settlement haven't been disclosed, religion has been said to be a part of their negotiations. According to one of Tom's former spiritual advisers, Marty Rathbun, the actor's position in the church also affected his previous marriage to Nicole Kidman, who abandoned Scientology immediately after her divorce in 2001.
But, Nicole and Katie aren't the only celebrities who have ditched the religion. While Jerry Seinfeld and Demi Moore left after dabbling with Scientology, director Paul Haggis quit after 34 years of devotion when the church declined to publicly denounce Proposition 8 - the measure that banned same-sex marriage in California. Paul, whose daughter is gay, wrote a resignation letter in which he called the religion a "cult."
