"My personal fortune is in ruins, and there's been an incredible threat on my life. Makes me feel free in a way I've never known," says Robert Pattinson in a brand new "Cosmopolis" trailer.

Based on the novel by Don DeLillo, Pattinson plays a billionaire who travels across Manhattan in a stretch limo to get a haircut. On the way his day devolves into a sea of sex and corruption, which begins to destroy his world. The film, directed by David Cronenberg, debuted at this year's Cannes Film Festival and competed for the prestigious Palme d'Or.

The new trailer teases the film's dystopian plot, and reveals a little more than Pattinson without his shirt on. (Not that we're complaining.) Take a look at the new clip above.

"Cosmopolis", which stars Pattinson, Jay Baruchel, Juliette Binoche and Paul Giamatti, hits theaters August 17.
