Based on the seminal awkward kid novel by Stephen Chbosky, who also wrote and directed the big-screen adaptation, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" follows a group of misfit students -- Lerman, Ezra Miller ("We Need To Talk About Kevin") and, of course, Emma Watson -- as they begin to find their place in the high-school stratosphere.
The film marks Emma Watson's first big role since "Harry Potter" (and without her British lilt!). Not to say the actress hasn't been busy since "HP's" departure -- she had a small supporting role in last year's "My Week With Marilyn" and next takes the lead in Sofia Coppola's upcoming movie, "The Bling Ring."
Take a look at the trailer above. "Perks of Being a Wallflower," which also stars Kate Walsh, Dylan McDermott, Mae Whitman and Melanie Lynsky, hits theaters September 14.
