After 30 years of anticipation, Ridley Scott has returned to sci-fi with "Prometheus."

The film, which was in development for four years, stars Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace as a group of explorers who stumble onto mankind's greatest and most terrifying secrets.

Today, the movie's world premiere took place in London. Take a look at Fassbender, Theron, Rapace and all the stars on the red carpet, in the gallery below.

"Prometheus" hits theaters June 8.
