'Skyfall' 007 Trailer: Daniel Craig Returns As James Bond

Posted: Updated: 05/21/2012 7:49 am

"Country: England. Gun: Shot. Agent: Provocateur. Murder: Employment. Skyfall: Done."

And so begins the first long-awaited look at the upcoming 007 flick, "Skyfall." However, those looking for more information regarding the story of the new James Bond movie will be sorely disappointed. The first teaser is simply nothing more than that: Gorgeous shots of the English countryside along with MI6's top agent looking as dashing and daring as usual.

Up until this point, most of the plot has come in bits and pieces, with Daniel Craig (Bond) and director Sam Mendes talking more about the previous two Bond flicks than the one on their plate.

"I was geniuinely blown away by 'Casino Royale.' I thought ... [director] Martin Campbell did a brilliant job," exclaimed Mendes in a video blog, later adding that "it was not that difficult of a decision [to direct 'Skyfall']. It struck me that it is still possible to make a big fabulous, glamourous, escapist movie, and yet, at the same time, to say something about the world we are living in."

You can check out the full tease-y first teaser above.

"Skyfall," stars Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes and Albert Finney. It's set to hit theaters November 9.

I forgot to add that sadly Sean Connery is a bit too old to play James Bond too. It's those thoughts that make you wonder where the time went.

I was 11 years old when I saw Dr. No with my dad in a good old fashioned theater with a large screen and have been a fan ever since. No one can replace Sean Connery as the suave cool Jame Bond but I think Daniel Craig gives the cold brutal aspect to Bond that Ian Flemming had originally envisioned.

I guess you missed it but franchise is doing pretty well.

Craig is great as Bond.

Should the previous information on this picture be accurate, and James will forego the classic martini for a beer, it's time to shelve the concept.

And I recently squired a taste for Martinis too !

In the Fleming novels, Bond drinks all sorts of things, including sake, champagne, whiskey and yes, beer. If you want to shelve the concept you'll need to think of a better reason.

No I don't.

A world without bond would be very very boring! Lately the Bond movies have been getting better. Keep up the good job!

This franchise is is way overdue for retirement. It's lost its edge and is no longer what it once was (something that we could escape into), instead it's nothing more than a video game. Retool and take Bond back to the fun it used to have otherwise kill it off once and for all.

I thought the last 2 Bond movies Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale were the best Bond movies yet.

Casino Royale had a little bit of that classic Bond style, but these days it's nothing more than a retake of the whole "Bourne" and "Mission Impossible" crap.

This Bond is Flemming's Bond.

You are opining for Hollywood's Bond.

I prefer the former.
