While "The Avengers" are assembling this weekend, don't forget about the friendliest comic book hero of them all: Spider-Man.

Marvel has just released a new trailer for "The Amazing Spider-Man," where fans get a (more than sizable) glimpse at what's in store for Peter Parker.

In the reboot, Parker (Andrew Garfield) looks to understand his parents disappearance. The film follows Peter as he discovers a briefcase that belonged to his father, which leads him to his dad's old pal, Dr. Connors (a.k.a. the Lizard).

The new clip features extended fight scenes between our hero and the Lizard (Rhys Ifans), along with a few monstrous action sequences involving crumbling skyscrapers.

Take a look at the trailer above.

"The Amazing Spider-Man," starring Emma Stone, Martin Sheen and Sally Field, hits theaters on July 3.

Gosh, he has really great hair. I didn't realize that's what the three previous movies lacked. Thank god for reboots.

Really? I thought #2 was one of the better superhero movies I've seen, mostly due to Alfred Molina as Doc Oc.

They sure did impress me with this trailer but I want to attribute it to the editing and music. Will probably pass...
