It appears the place Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn) called home in the 1961 classic "Breakfast at Tiffany's" has found a seller. The house, where Golightly lived alongside Paul Varjak (George Peppard) , was put on the market back in December.
According to the New York Observer, 169 East 71st Street has just been sold to a Cyprus-based buyer -- a company called Costalea Holdings Limited -- for $5.97 million.
The house's previous owner, Peter E. Bacanovic, bought the house back in 2000 for $1.88 million.
The movie, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last October, is still considered one of the best films in history. "Tiffany's" went on to win two Oscars at the 34th Academy Awards, for Best Original Song and Best Original Score. (Hepburn was nominated for Best Actress, and writer George Axelrod for Best Adapted Screenplay.)

Last Friday, iconic star Audrey Hepburn would have turned 83. Sixty years after she won an Academy Award for her first major role, she still represents something important and aspirational to the young women today.
Is anybody noticing this...this was bought by someone out of country, the town out west was bought by a Vietnamese, the Spelling estate was bought by someone from England. Can't Americans afford to buy anything anymore. Soon we won't own America.

Audrey Hepburn was an actress that mastered roles of vulnerable women that men wanted to protect. "Breakfast at Tiffiny's" was one of them. Although Mickey Rooney is a fine actor, his character of Yunioshi ruined the ambience and patina of a potentially great movie. It dated the movie rather than making it timeless as all great movies are

plic...I think you have a good point. Mickey Rooney is a very talented man but his character "Yunioshi" in Breakfast At Tiffanys didn't seem to fit into the story. His character brought more of a comedic touch to the movie, making the movie not as dramatic as it should have been.
