Married Couples In Movies: Spouses Who've Appeared In The Same Film

They say you're not supposed to mix business with pleasure. Apparently, Hollywood didn't get the memo.

Over the years, plenty of married couples have appeared in the same movie. It makes sense, particularly when a husband and wife are portraying romantic interests on screen. (What better way for a director to get chemistry between his two stars then to have it already exist?)

This weekend, "The Five-Year Engagement" hits theaters. Although the stars of the film, Jason Segel and Emily Blunt, aren't dating off screen -- Segel is reportedly going out with Michelle Williams, and Blunt is married to John Krasinski -- it is fun to imagine what would happen if these two were married in real-life. (Just watch the trailer for proof of that.)

In honor of Segel and Blunt's on-screen knot-tying, let's take a look at actual married couples who've appeared in the same flick.

After getting married in 1964, Buron and Taylor starred as husband and wife in this on-screen adaptation of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" Taylor's performance as Martha ended up winning her a Best Actress Oscar, while Burton was able to snag a Best Actor nomination for his role as George. The couple went on to star in several other films, including "The Sandpiper," "The Taming of the Shrew" and "Doctor Faustus."

What about Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn in Overboard?? Also there was Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson who played in The Volunteers and in That Thing You Do, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins in Bull Durham, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis in Mortal Thoughts. Those are some A-list names I think they forgot about!! I know there are more.

Kind of stupid to include Brad & Angelina, who aren't married, and not include classics like Mel Brooks & Anne Bancroft, and Hume Cronyn & Jessica Tandy who are. Using your rules, you could even have included William Powell and Carole Lombard who starred in My Man Godfrey after they were divorced.

Not much to say on this nonsence. Jen and Brad marriage was not ment to last. As is Bran and Angelina. They are both cheaters. Somewhere along the line they'll brake up.Those kind of actors change linnens as they would underwear. Growing old together is a concept that's not on the books anymore.

I don't understand why they listed this under " Married couples in movies ".
Since Brad and Angelina were / are not married, and Brad was having an affair with Angelina.
In some pictures Angelina is very pretty, in others she looks ill. I feel for Jennifer and the heart break she went thru, much harder to heal from when it is plastered in tabloids and TV.
I saw in one of the magazines a few years back were it had a picture of Gollum ( off of Lord of the Rings) and Angelina side by side--the resemblence was remarkable and I've never been quite able to look at Angie the same way, w/o Gollum coming to mind.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie -- both over-rated has-beens......they always make sure they get themselves in the news -- wish they'd just take their brood and move to one of the countries they're always forcing down the public's throats to help.

I couldn't care LESS about what the celebs in Hollywood do! The more of them that I find out are liberal and support Obama, the less of their work I will go see, or even give them the time of day.

I don't normally care about the personal lives of actors, just like they don't really care about mine. But sometimes what they do they make so public that you cannot escape it, that you end up with an opinion. I do not go see Jolle Pitt movies, partially because of what they did, but mostly cause I don't like them as actors.

Some of the movies can be seductive - don't even watch Pitt and Jolie movies anymore - its desscustion - and the blame falls mostly on the directors - but in some cases its its just "Plane Cheating on one's spouce because they are bored and need something to make them feeending storyl "More alive and Wanted" cheat now, you cheat later and still looing for something better, younger or older! its a never .

It interesting I guess to watch the constant monthly up-date we get on Brad and Angie-Lets see Brad has said he was bored in the marriage with Jennifer.Like it was her fault she didn't entertain him enough I guess. Former Nannies have said that Angie laughed at her kids if they were hurt-or would go in a room screaming and slamming the door to be alone-And its obvious she didn't attached to Shiloh-because she was a blob that just laid there-her quote about Shiloh as a baby. And yet here we are once again with the monthly up-date of their engagement........and all thats comes to mind is.....so?

Pitt said he'd never get married again unless EVERYONE can be married, meaning gays. But since it's been rumored that Joie and Johnny Depp had an affair on their last movie together, and then Depp separated from his partner and Pitt stayed on the movie set, it appears that the engagment is more of an insurance policy for Pitt to try and keep Jolie from either straying or leaving him. What goes around comes around

Jolie is one of those women who think that what they've got between their legs is something special. Well, it isn't. And predatory women, once their looks go--and, Angelina, no amount of cosmetic surgery is going to keep Father Time from showing up on your face, in your figure, and with your reproductive system--simply can't cope with life.

I always thought Depp had better taste in women. Brad must really like sloppy seconds.
