Maybe it's in the genes, but by 13, Jaden Smith -- Will Smith's son -- has already established himself as a bankable action star, and now it seems the sky's the limit.
According to Variety, Sony wants to cast Smith for the lead in the film adaptation of "Boy Nobody." In a role that sounds something along the lines of a teenage Jason Bourne or male version of "Hanna," Jaden's character would be "a brainwashed teenage assassin."
The film is based on the young adult novel by Allen Zadoff, and Sony currently has plans to make it into a trilogy. Variety quotes the author as saying that the lead character is a “young soldier trained not to feel; who could function in every situation without fear, sympathy or anger; who could assassinate strangers and then walk away emotionally unscathed.”
Sony Pictures and Overbrook Entertainment are in early talks to acquire the film rights as a vehicle for Smith, who's now filming M. Night Shyamalan's "After Earth" with his father.
