Earlier this year, TGV Cinemas, a theater chain in Malaysia, introduced the Beanieplex (a.k.a. "the bean bag hall"), which replaced your standard cinema seating with comfy beanbags. (You can check out photos of the theater in the gallery below.)
According to the TGV website, "the revolutionary ‘Beanieplex’, Malaysia’s first and only cinema hall featuring bean bag seats, offers patrons a cosy and relaxed viewing experience and has become a favorite among the movie-goers."
Of course, there are downsides to having a movie theater full of beanbags. For instance, what happens when someone dumps soda, popcorn and candy all over the seat? Cleaning a beanbag seems way more difficult than cleaning your standard theater seat.
Three TGV chains currently include the Beanieplex experience: the Sunway Pyramid, the 1st Avenue Mall and the ÆON Tebrau City Shopping Centre.

I must say Malaysia has the absolute best shopping mall I have ever been to called Star Hill. I am white from the U.S. and I think we all think we are the best but there are many countries around the world that we could still learn from when it comes to multiculturalism, business, etc.

according to another article they clean the bean bags 2 times a day and it seems only a few shows run with them as seating. Also it looks like couples get the beanbags over single ticket holders but they will let u buy the whole "couch" it could be done here in the US but they would need to be cleaned after every show. And prob only have like 5 to 7 shows max with them to keep it clean.. however most Americans can't sit that low .
