Johnny Depp: the anti-Ryan Gosling?

According to Entertainment Weekly, the "Dark Shadows" star is being sued by a disabled woman, who claims Depp’s bodyguards injured her at a concert and that the Oscar-nominated actor did nothing to help.

The 52-year-old woman, who's been identified only as a U.C. Irvine med school professor, says the incident happened in the VIP area of an Iggy and the Stooges concert at the Hollywood Palladium last December. The lawsuit claims she had three separate run-ins with Depp's security staff, whom she says “grabbed [her] from behind, bear-hugged her, and tightly grabbed and restrained both of her wrists” while another tried to “wrench her iPhone… from her hands.” She alleges that the guards then handcuffed her and dragged her around in the public section of the venue, then ripped off her pants, "exposing her buttocks to the other Hollywood Palladium Theater patrons."

The woman, who needs a cane to walk, says she suffered severe injuries, including a dislocated left elbow, bleeding, swelling, and bruising. She said the incident also worsened her pre-existing conditions, forcing her to take a medical leave from work.

She is now suing Depp and the Hollywood Palladium for emotional distress, assault, battery, false imprisonment, discrimination, and civil rights violations. According to TMZ, police say the woman filing the suit appeared to be intoxicated at the time and has been "less than cooperative" since.
