Chris Evans, 'Captain America' Star, Only Likes Three Of His Movies

Last year, Chris Evans complained to Moviefone that no one's ever seen his "good films," like Danny Boyle's cerebral space thriller "Sunshine" or Evans' turn as a drug-addicted lawyer in "Puncture."

Therefore, it's not a huge surprise the "Avengers" star just admitted to Hong Kong's Prestige magazine that out of the 20 movies he's made, he's "probably proud of three" of them, one being last summer's "Captain America."

"At the point of 'Captain America' being offered to me, I had already made quite a few stinkers," said Evans. "I couldn’t afford to make another one, let alone another one on that scale. If you make one that big and it fails, your days are numbered."

So what are the films he's not proud of? We can (presumably) count his other superhero role in "The Fantastic Four" movies, the rom-com "What's Your Number?" with Anna Faris and the long-ago teen caper "The Perfect Score" opposite "Avengers" co-star Scarlett Johnansson.

Although Evans may be gung-ho about his role as patriotic super soldier Steve Rogers now, he originally had some not-so-positive things to say about the -- what appeared to be -- exhausting shoot. However, he later admitted that "the reward for 'Captain America' is amazing. It's always fun to see a giant spectacle film and see the fun stuff -- the special effects and sh-t."

Evans is set to reprise -- and, fingers crossed, enjoy -- his role as Captain America in the upcoming superhero epic "The Avengers," out May 4.

Aw, man.
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World is one of my favorite movies of all time. It came out like 2 years ago and I've seen it like 5 times. Granted, he wasn't the star, but he beat the crap out of Michael Cera and then turned into Canadian pocket change.
Seriously.

I think Evans is merely showinghis own preference in film, rather than a scale of quality. Some people love romcoms, and his were decent. I'm not saying that they were Shakespeare or Oscar-worth material, but What's my Number made up for in the charm of the leads what it lacked in script. In other words, overall, Evans hasn't made anything that I'd want my time back after watching - unlike so, so, so very many other Hollywood films that I could mention.
