'Titanic' Leonardo DiCaprio Death: What's The Actor's Saddest On-Screen Ending?

Leonardo DiCaprio dies a lot in the movies. Maybe not nearly as often as Sean Bean, but still, Leo's managed to rack up an impressive amount of on-screen deaths, most notably his icy demise in "Titanic."

With the 1997 epic steaming its way back onto the big screen this weekend, we thought we'd rank his deaths-per-weep ratio (from sorta sad to "OMG I CAN'T STOP CRYING").

So, you tell us: Which Leo-passing warrants the biggest waterworks? (SPOILERS, obviously.)

As Movieline reviewer : Stephanie Zacharek writes "Eastwood's attempt at a poignant Hoover death scene fails to hit the mark: "I for one would want to stick the guy with a pin to make sure he was really dead." Ouch! Although Leo was great in the role, we're not too shook up over this passing.

DeCaprio either dies, goes crazy, is forgotten by the world or...that's it. I love it. Funny to think I used to call him "She-anardo DeCrapio" in elementary school just because I knew it would bug the hell out of my smitten friends. Cannot believe how well he escaped his perception of what can be called present-day as the Efron Syndrome. Leo is so totally legit I wish I could just shut myself up from back then. I wonder if DeCaprio and Winslet will do a third movie together. He dies in the first. She dies in the second. I guess that means they would both die in the third.

His character death in the Departed was the most upsetting for me. Obviously in some of the others his death is expected(and I remember crying like a baby when I watched Romeo and Juliet back in the day) but I honestly did not see it coming. My jaw dropped and I just spent the rest of the film staring at the screen through tears. I got a little solace at the end, but not enough.

Blood Diamonds by far. The soundtrack also helps with the beautiful music and the ending shows atonement for ones own past sins right down to the end.

Agree. Blood Diamonds gets into one's soul.

Didn't he die in another movie? I think he was gay in it or something? But out of the movies mentioned I have only seen Titanic and Romeo and Juliet lol.

As I was reading the headline I thought to myself....he couldn't have died many more times than Sean Bean.....

Then, to my surprise, Sean is mentioned in the article.....lol

THANK YOU for mentioning Sean....my most favorite actor! :o)

No one has died more than Sean, it seems! I love him but it's hard to watch him getting killed off over and over.

"The Departed". Loved his character. Very sad when he was shot in the head.

I vote for Gilbert Grape. Yeah, he didn't die, but the ending to that movie is infinitely sadder than any of the ones listed.

He didn't die in "The Basketball Diaries" but he was pretty close to death and wanted to die. That was a great role and I wish more people had seen that movie.
