Sex Comedies: The Most Ridiculous Posters (PHOTOS)

With "American Reunion" set to hit theaters this weekend, many fans are reminiscing to the halcyon days of 1999, when the original "American Pie" took pop culture by storm and became a surprise blockbuster phenomenon.

But when you look back at that now-iconic movie poster, it's easy to see why this sex comedy was poised to become a box office hit. The flute, the pie, the shirtless Jason Biggs -- it had all the trappings of a naughty cinematic romp.

Over-the-top posters are a staple of the sex comedy genre, and while "American Pie" may have gotten the formula just right, there have been plenty of bargain-bin, z-grade "films" that went overboard with cleavage, dirty puns and frustrated nerds. Moviefone decided to look back on one of the most shameless movie genres in existence, and count down the absolute most ridiculous sex comedy posters. Ever.

HOW can they leave out "The Last American Virgin" or Tom Cruise's "Losin It". Even "Fraternity Vacation" (yes I've seen a lot of these type movies...sad I know).

I'm surprised the original poster to "Good Luck Chuck" wasn't in there, but grateful at the same time.

This franchise has played out. Too bad they decided to reboot the franchise in the year of superhero movies, should have done it last year if wanted to make a dent in box-office earnings. Trailer looks horrible. http://batmanrises.com
