I think Leonardo DiCaprio is arrogant and over-confident of his acting abilities. He's the reason I only saw the movie once and was not so impressed with the story line. The visuals are excellent, though, and I would be curious to see the film in 3D.

This makes no sense at all to come back 15 years after the original release of Titanic which at the time was one of the biggest grossing movies ever and turn it into a 3 D movie just so they can charge ridiculous sums of money for someone to now see it in 3D . Just stupid and money grubbing of them to even do it .

It's not out of nowhere. It's the hundredth anniversary of the sinking, April 1912, and of course they are going to milk money out of something like that. Even though I have seen that movie way too many times, Titanic is a visually stunning piece of work and special effects, and would be worth seeing in 3D versus Hunger Games and Twilight type movies. I agree that the storyline and acting weren't great, but the effects, as well as the mystery of the titanic and its structural beauty that was created in the movie, justify turning it into 3D for money making purposes.
