Auteurs gotta eat! The new trailer for "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted" arrived online this afternoon, providing another reminder that Noah Baumbach wrote this one. Yep, the Noah Baumbach who penned heady indies like "Kicking and Screaming," "The Squid and The Whale" and "Greenberg." (Not "Margot at the Wedding," because that thing is poison.)

"Madagascar 3" focuses on Alex (voiced by Ben Stiller), Marty (voiced by Chris Rock), Gloria (voiced by Jada Pinkett Smith) and Melman (voiced by David Schwimmer), and their attempts to get back to New York by traveling with a circus. LMAFO-scored hijinks ensue ("Only penguins and people can drive!"), which will certainly make the kiddies happy. Here's hoping, "Europe's Most Wanted" also features something about Brooklyn hipsters, angry literati, and Pink Floyd.
