David Lynch Tattoo: Director Designs Drawing For Superfan (VIDEO)

When he's not recording music, promoting his coffee brand, filming commercials or just scaring the living crap out of moviegoers, David Lynch designs tattoos -- sort of.

In a video posted by YouTube user ghostieojr, the "Blue Velvet" director creates a permanent design for one happy Lynch superfan.

It all goes down at an event where Lynch is signing autographs. When the fan approaches the filmmaker, he asks him to draw "anything" on his arm, which the fan will then get tattooed over. After thinking it over a moment, David draws -- in perhaps a nod to his recent painting, "Duckman's Injury" -- "The Duckman."

Afterward, the fan heads to a tattoo parlor, where he gets Lynch's drawing permanently traced onto his skin.

Considering all the insane ideas that have come from Lynch's brain over the years, the fan may gotten off lucky.
