On the heels of Kate Winslet's varied reactions to the re-release of "Titanic" in 3D (in one instance she said it was "weird" but "amazing" and in another she wanted to "turn it off," accompanied by many curse words), co-star Bill Paxton fully supports the relaunching of the 1997 classic.

On set for "The Colony" in northern Ontario, Paxton was eager to discuss the re-release of the much-loved movie, and was quick to defend the naysayers who claim that director James Cameron is out to make a quick buck.

"This isn't just a transfer," said Paxton. "Jim [Cameron] has gone through and done each scene individually. Some serious work had to be done for this."

The actor and the director are famous friends, and have worked together on several other projects including sci-fi film "Aliens," but their friendship isn't coloring Paxton's opinion one way or another.

"I don't normally push for Jim," chuckles Paxton, "but this [re-release] is not a money grab. The man has integrity."

The re-release of "Titanic" in 3D is set for April 6, when the movie will be screening in 3D and IMAX 3D theaters.
