Film Independent gave out its Spirit Awards for the 27th time on Saturday afternoon in Santa Monica, Calif. While the telecast of the ceremony -- hosted by a ribald Seth Rogen -- won't happen until 10 p.m. EST on IFC (tape delaying an awards ceremony in the age of Twitter = SMART!), Moviefone is happy to pass along the winners. Check out the full list of Spirit Award honorees below.

Excellent choices, hopefully reflected at the Oscars. Loved Michelle Williams. When I heard she was going to play Marilyn, I though she couldn't pull it off, because she's physically too different and way more "sophisticated" and perfectionist than the "earthly" and instinctive Monroe. Instead, she was absolutely great. In addition, the movie was really really cute.

Congrats Michelle, from one of your biggest fans.

The Independent Spirit Awards seem to be the only ceremony I can root for. I sure wish they were available ONLINE instead of cable-only... that would be true Independent Spirit!

The ceremony is always hilarious--unlike the stiff, stilted, and mostly scripted Oscars.

Shailene Woodley should have received an Oscar nod, so this is nice. Very happy for Michelle, too. I think she's our finest screen actress.

I wish I had seen The Spirit Awards live. I think Seth Rogan is hilarious. Probably the most successful out of the closet stoner in Hollywood. It doesn't surprise me The Artist took it at The Spirit Awards. I recently did my own Oscar picks: http://movieboozer.com Not sure if my link will work... hope it does. Great post!
