From Billy Crystal (hosting for the ninth time) to "The Artist" (the 1920s-set silent film favored to win Best Picture), the 84th annual Academy Awards have a decidedly throwback feel to them. Which is why here's hoping Jack Nicholson makes his triumphant return to the front row of the Kodak Theater Oscars auditorium. After all, it isn't an Academy Awards without Jack's sly grin.
