Moviefone's Pick of the Week
"Puss in Boots"(Friday, February 24)
What's It About? Antonio Banderas' fan-favorite feline from the "Shrek' series gets his own movie. With Humpty Dumpty and the mysterious Kitty Softpaws at his side, the swashbuckling cat attempts to steal golden goose eggs from a giant's castle, and creates a whole new set of fractured fairy tale adventures.
See It Because: Even if the "Shrek" series has worn thin, "Puss" has enough lively charm to feel like something new; the voice cast plays their parts with a lot of loose, madcap energy and the animation is wonderfully imaginative. Also Available On Redbox DVD & Blu-ray | Amazon Instant Video
New Releases on DVD & Blu-ray "J. Edgar" Leo stars in Clint Eastwood's biopic of the FBI director, controversial in both his professional and personal life.

"Honey 2" They made a sequel to this? And it stars Audrina from "The Hills"? See it or Skip it: Skip it. Also Available On Amazon Instant Video
"London Boulevard" Colin Farrell and Keira Knightley star in a "'Notting Hill' by way of Guy Ritchie" mash-up in the directorial debut of Oscar-winning screenwriter William Monahan ("The Departed"); the story of a former gangster trying to go straight as a bodyguard for a movie star tries to be clever with lots of interwoven crime subplots, but it just comes off as rushed and cliched. "Martha Marcy May Marlene" The Olsen Twins' little sister Elizabeth became a buzzed-about breakout star with this indie thriller about a young woman that escaped from a dangerous cult community in the Catskill Mountains, but can't shake the lingering paranoia that they are still looking for her. See it or Skip it: See it. Also Available On Amazon Instant Video "The Mighty Macs" Carla Gugino stars in another inspirational sports coaching drama based on a true story; this time around it's the story of Immaculata College's woman's basketball team, who "overcame the odds" in 1971 to win a National Championship. "Retreat" Cillian Murphy and Thandie Newton star as a married couple, vacationing on a secluded island, when a bloodied and beaten Jamie bell arrives on their doorstep, claiming that a deadly virus has swept the mainland and sent society into a chaotic spiral; the couple's struggle to determine if his threats are real or merely lunatic rantings, make for a tense little thriller. See it or Skip it: See it. Also Available On Redbox | Amazon Instant Video
"The Son of No One" Channing Tatum broods as a Queens-based cop, who is pulled into a 25-year-old police cover-up that gets dangerously close to his family; with an all-star supporting cast of Al Pacino, Katie Holmes, Tracy Morgan, Juliette Binoche and Ray Liotta, this movie takes itself way too seriously. "The Way" Emilio Estevez directs his father Martin Sheen in a intimate character drama set in the Spanish countryside; spreading the ashes of his departed son along the famed Camino de Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage, Sheen meets fellow travelers and gains some valubale life lessons in a non-schmaltzy way.
