Sometimes Valentine's Day is better spent at home than at a fancy restaurant -- particularly if it falls on a school night (like this year), and you have small kids. Yet that doesn't mean you can't celebrate your love with a swoon-worthy evening featuring dinner and a movie.

The problem is that many couples usually can't agree on what constitutes a love story. Maybe one of you likes understated Merchant-Ivory dramas and the other hates anything with period costumes. Never fear! Moviefone is here to hook you up with a movie queue of film picks that are sure to get you both in a romantic mood.

(You'll have to consult our colleagues at HuffPost Food for culinary inspiration, though!)

There are dozens of romantic classics, like "Gone With the Wind," "Wuthering Heights," and "The Philadelphia Story," but "Casablanca" reigns supreme as the kind of epic every couple should see together at least once. It's got everything: wartime intrigue, memorable lines, a strong leading man, a beautiful leading lady, colorful supporting characters, and the most heartbreaking love triangle in all of movie history (sorry "Twilight" fans).
