'Amazing Spider-Man' Trailer: Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone Bring Webslinger Back (VIDEO)

Less than one day after premiering new footage of "The Amazing Spider-Man" to fanboys and girls around the globe, Sony has unveiled a new full-length trailer for the summer blockbuster. Pay no attention to the movie trilogy that ended in 2007, folks; this is a whole other friendly neighborhood comic book adaptation!

Or, not really. At least not judging by the whiz-bang trailer for "The Amazing Spider-Man," which seems at times like a reenactment of Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man," despite promising to tell the "untold story" of Spidey. Not that star Andrew Garfield isn't trying as Peter Parker; nor that Emma Stone, as Peter's love, Gwen Stacy, isn't infinitely more charming than Kirsten Dunst. It just looks an awful lot like "Spider-Man."

The good news? You loved "Spider-Man"! So, this should be fun, regardless of originality issues. Marc Webb ("500 Days of Summer") directs, which explains the cheeky humor and sarcasm. Starring Garfield, Stone, Denis Leary (!), Martin Sheen (!!), Sally Field (!!!) and Rhys Ifans, "The Amazing Spider-Man" swings arrives in theaters in 3D on July 3.

So he's unmasked throughout the movie on this one just like the previous Raimi movies. Do screen writers not care for the secret identity of superheroes?

If this one fails... don't worry... we will re-re-reboot it again 4 years from now!

First off for those that don't live in NYC, there are no fire escapes on buildings that are 20 stories high. I guess the screenwriter is from L.A.
